4 PBS KIDS® Books were nominated for Mom's Choice Awards
Brighter Minds Media and PBS KIDS proudly announce that four of the PBS KIDS books have been selected finalists for the 2006 Mom's Choice Award in the Children's Books Series category. The Mom's Choice Awards is designated by the Just For Mom Foundation and recognize authors, parents, inventors, and companies that create family-friendly media products. The Mom's Choice Awards are meant to help teachers and parents in choosing excellent products for the education of children. Winners will be announced on October 13.
PBS KIDS books inspire children's imaginations and develop their self-confidence and love of learning. Each book develops a different educational theme, an unique interactive feature and a guide for parents and caregivers.
Andrea Downing, VP Home Entertainment and Partnerships, PBS declares: "PBS is thrilled that our books are being recognized by the Just For Mom Foundation,". "PBS KIDS books not only engage children with an interactive learning experience, but also feature additional resources for parents from PBS Parents to further extend the learning at the end of each story."
Vivian Antonangeli, President and Publisher of Brighter Minds Media adds: "We are pleased to be considered as a finalist for a Mom's Choice Award. The PBS KIDS series is both popular and educational and we are very excited at the opportunity to introduce the series to even more moms with this recognition from the Just For Mom Foundation,"
The PBS KIDS book series consists of eight case bound books and two sets of Touch and Learn cards. Some of the most important titles in the PBS KIDS series include: The Great Cake, Imagination Vacation, Hide and Peek, and Moo Moo, Who Are You.
