44 Years In Business Celebrated by NTD Telecommunications

NTD Telecommunications has been, since 1964, a leader in the communications industry. For providing the highest quality of products and customer service in the industry NTD has established a reputation.

44 years ago in Seattle, Washington, NTD Telecommunications had its humble beginnings. Bill Nosworthy, its founder, was working nights for Great Northern Railway and selling the latest in "reel to reel" telephone answering machines during the day.

NTD, when deregulation of the phone companies was enacted, began to provide telephone installers with business phone systems and related devices. Over the last 10-15 years NTD has played a large role in providing consultation services and communication devices for the general public and expanded into the Internet market place.

President of NTD Telecommunications, Bill Nosworthy, declared: "Our mission is to help increase productivity for our customers and over all to enhance their telephone experience. For example, with the advent of the wireless office headset from Plantronics, studies have shown productivity increases of 40%." He adds: "Who would have believed 44 years ago the advancements in communications technology we take for granted today."

Due to new laws governing the use of cell phones while driving a motor vehicle, NTD has enjoyed considerable growth in the last few years in the cell phone, and "hands free" headsets market.

Director of Sales and Marketing at NTD Telecommunications, Loren Timmons, declared: "What is gratifying to me is the contribution NTD and Mr. Nosworthy have made to the hearing impaired customer; NTD has been a major provider of telephones and other devices for the hearing impaired; devices that have really improved their quality of life." He continued: "It is also interesting to see the shift from an older population to a much younger population requiring hearing amplified telephones."
