aerobis Limited announced today that it will launch on MySpace, the world's most popular social network, aerobis Train Social (http://www.myspace.com/aerobis ). A full-blown sport-route planner is brought by aerobis to the MySpace Platform that lets users create, edit and share their favorite sport-routes around the globe. aerobis Limited, empowered by MySpace's newly announced Developer Platform (
http://developer.myspace.com ), was able to easily build, test, and ultimately deploy aerobis Train Social.
Aerobis makes it easy to track the distance of every sport-route a user ever ran/rode. Because all data is calculated by aerobis, there is no need to buy a GPS device. For every route, users get the exact distance and even height profile. Users don´t need to sign-up anywhere else, because it is completely integrated with MySpace. Without actually leaving MySpace, aerobis, additionally, lets users collaborate with others from different social networks.
Beginning a one month application development period allowing companies including aerobis Limited, time to build and test their applications in a secure environment before going live to the MySpace community, MySpace first introduced their Developer Platform site on February 5, 2008.Enabling broader testing of approved applications by allowing public installation, MySpace launched, on March 13, 2008, the public beta of the Application Gallery (
http://apps.myspace.com ). From a variety of categories, including aerobis Train Social, to both their home and profile pages, MySpace members can now discover and add new applications.
aerobis Train Social, as with all MySpace Developer Platform applications, will be able to safely access publicly available profile information including a user's friend list, photos & albums, interests, video, as well as status & mood. aerobis | Train Social will have real estate in five places within MySpace including:
* A MySpace application profile (users can "friend" the apps)
* Access to embed applications on the user homepage (inward facing-for you to see)
* Access to embed applications on profiles (outward facing widget-for friends to see)
* An application gallery listing
* A canvas page
