AOL's AIM Version 6.8 Includes Phonevite

The fact that its Phonevite™ http://www.phonevite.com service is now available as a mini-application in the latest version of AOL's popular instant messaging software, AIM version 6.8 has been announced by Ifonoclast, Inc. AIM users, with the Phonevite™ mini-application, can instantly record and send phone alerts and reminders for free.

Phonevite makes it easy to communicate with many people at once, in your own voice. Phonevite, rather than rely on email notifications or group text messages, lets you record a personal voice message and send it to a group of recipients. You can send the message instantly, or schedule it for later delivery as Your number will appear in the caller ID. Visit http://www.phonevite.com/express , to see how it works.

John Nahm stated: "Phonevite was designed to make phone reminders and alerts free, easy and convenient for anyone." He added: "We get so much email these days that a lot of important reminders and notifications end up buried in our inboxes. Phonevite combines the latest in web telephony to allow people to send these important messages across to their friends, with their own voice, to the universal device, the phone."

Phonevite is among the first mini-applications to be featured using a new Open AIM API. AIM users, to start using the Phonevite service, can simply click the "Get More" button on the base of the AIM Buddy List. Phonevite, once added, can be detached in a separate, resizable window.

Due to the huge setup expense and complexity of such services, traditionally, phone alert systems were only accessible to large organizations. However, using the latest in Internet telephony, Phonevite is breaking the barriers of phone communications from one-to-many, empowering anybody to get in touch with their groups instantly and easily, through the phone.
