The iPad is a tablet computer announced by Apple in January 27 2010.
It has a 9.7 inch, LED backlit, glossy widescreen Multi-Touch display with IPS technology., 1024-by-768-pixel resolution at 132 pixels per inch (ppi). The processor is 1GHz Apple A4 custom-designed, high-performance, low-power system-on-a-chip.
It weighs 1.5 lbs, and is 0.5 inches thin. The iPad comes with 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB flash drive. It is powered by a built-in 25Whr rechargeable lithium-polymer battery, up to 10 hours of surfing the web on Wi-Fi, watching video, or listening to music. The charging is done via power adapter or USB to computer system.
There will be 2 models one with Wi-Fi and the second with Wi-Fi + 3G .Us customers will be able tu buy an AT&T 250MB data plan for $14.99 per month or an unlimited data plan for $29.99 per month.
The iPad can run the apps on the App Store, almost 140,000 at the moment and has acces to iTunes store. It is also an e-book reader thanks to the iBooks app. The purchase of the book can be done directly from the built-in iBookstore. It also features an email app, contacts, notes, a calendar app, Google Maps, media player, photo viewer.
