Ascend Training is proud to sponsor a number of events for the creative community fall 2007 in Chicago. Monday Sept. 17th, Ascend is hosting the monthly meeting the Chicago Area Adobe User Group. This free evening will present a Flash Showcase in which Flash developers will be able to share the fruits of their labor, and see what fellow developers are working on. This Adobe event is held at our Chicago Loop location at 410 S. Michigan Ave., Suite 433. Doors open at 5:00, the event begins at 6:30.     In conjunction with the Adobe MAX conference, Ascend Training is hosting CFUnited on September 30th. This 1 day of seminars is presented by the top ColdFusion experts in the industry. The cost is $149 for this full day of ColdFusion sessions held at the Ascend Training Chicago Loop location. For the 3rd year, Ascend Training will sponsor the Creative Suite 3 Conference. This conference brings in the top Adobe experts in the country for a week of seminars on Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Flash, Adobe Flex, Adobe Illustrator and more.

    Ascend offers discounts on 2, 3 or Platinum Passes to this Adobe conference. "Ascend hosts 5-6 free events a year, such as our Knowledge is Power series. We feel these events focusing on the design, publishing and web communities are vital in our role in the community." said Jori Curry, President, Ascend Training.

    Ascend offers Adobe Authorized training in both our Chicago and Deerfield facilities. Our hands-on classes are scheduled 4 months in advance, and most classes are between 2 and 4 days in length. We pride ourselves in being flexible, and when our classes fill up, we frequently add additional dates to meet demand. In addition to our scheduled classes, we offer onsite training at your location around the world.

    Each class at Ascend is backed up by a free 6 month retake policy. We encourage students to come in and get a refresher when need be. We currently are offering classes in both Adobe CS2 and Adobe CS3 to meet the demand of those not upgrading. Our Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Flash classes are all taught by top industry professionals.

    Adobe Flash CS3 Level 1: Rich Content Creation is an introductory course for designers and budding developers new to the Flash environment, or those that have not had formal training. Students will produce an engaging Flash interface using text, graphics, animations, video, and sound. User interactions are added using built in Flash ActionScript behaviors and Script Assist. Students will leave this class with the ability to create and incorporate web animations.

    Illustrator CS3 Part II, Advanced will build upon the knowledge planted in Part I. We will use the Effects and Filters and how they differ, and also the Appearance Palette to save a Graphic Style. We will draw and understand Bezier curves, the root of drawing in Illustrator. Other topics include, Layers, new type features to CS3, Transparency, Symbols, Document Profiles and many more exciting new features of CS3, and how it integrates with the rest of the Creative Suite.

    Adobe Flash 8: Rich Content Creation is an introductory course for designers and budding developers new to the Flash environment. Students will produce an engaging Flash interface using text, graphics, animations, video, and sound. User interactions are added using built in Flash ActionScript behaviors and Script Assist. We offer this course as a 3 day to give additional time to more complex topics and to incorporate samples students submit from their current projects. This workshop is offered at our Deerfield and Chicago Illinois facilities or onsite at your location around the country.
