Abas Business Solutions (PRC) Ltd. today announced that it was awarded the Caring Company Logo at the Caring Company Recognition Ceremony 2007/2008 on February 21. Abas's commitment to good corporate citizenship is recognized by the award. Abas was awarded based on its ability to satisfy the criteria of Volunteering, Employee Friendly, Caring for the Environment and Mentoring. The ceremony was organised by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS).

    Abas staff and customers are very proud of the award which recognises Abas' care for social service sectors and its devotion to community activities. Chief Operating Officer of Abas, Mr. Vincent Lau, said, "We are pleased to be awarded the Caring Company Logo by HKCSS. The award goes to everyone in Abas. It's not only the honor of the company, but also the achievement of all our employees."

    Abas has encouraged and supported volunteering among its employees and provided staff with a family-friendly working environment for the past year. For example, paid leave was offered to the employees who participated in voluntary activities or those who had to deal with special private issues. Abas has also supported environmental protection and encouraged employees to take measures such as two-side printing. Also, the company has encouraged employees to share their experiences in information technology and e-Business with the public.

    As an IT company, Abas has spent most of its time in IT information sharing. Since 2004, Abas has cooperated with non-profit organizations in this area. Partner associations include Hong Kong Productivity Council and Manufacturing Enterprise Integration & Innovation Association. Several seminars covering different topics were held and attracted many attendees. Abas did not only sponsor the events, but also had its employees prepared and presented in the seminars to benefit the attendees.
