AwoX announces that it has raised its membership within the Digital Living Network Alliance to Promoter status, further indicating its dedication to DLNA as the de facto guidelines for home networks. AwoX designs and develops middleware solutions, and manufactures connected devices for emerging markets such as internet radio, digital media adapters, video-on-demand Box, and network add-on board for TV. Members of DLNA share a vision of an interoperable network of personal computers, consumer electronics and mobile devices in and beyond the home, enabling a seamless environment for sharing and growing new digital media and content services.

The company joins industry leaders in becoming DLNA Promoter members.
These companies are working together to enable interoperability between personal computing, consumer electronics and mobile devices in and beyond the home. Promoter members are carefully selected by the DLNA board of directors.

"AwoX is further strengthening its commitment to the DLNA technology specifications by upgrading to promoter membership,"
stated Alain Molinie, CEO and co-founder of AwoX. "We believe that the DLNA guidelines are already the de facto guidelines for home networks. As more and more devices become connected, it is increasingly important to promote guidelines for established standards, ensuring that these devices can interoperate seamlessly."

More than 240 multi-industry companies from around the world have joined DLNA, committing the time and resources necessary
to achieve their vision. Awox mediaCTRL server for PC, a subset of AwoX mediaCTRL middleware, was recently certified reference device compliant with DLNA Networked Device Interoperability Guidelines v1.5, thus being included on the official list of DLNA Certified products.
