eIQnetworks, Inc., announced that systems integration consulting company, CedarCrestone, Inc., has selected its flagship SecureVue platform to consolidate security and compliance management across its enterprise by intelligently correlating disparate data sources. CedarCrestone evaluated products from ArcSight and EMC before selecting eIQ's SecureVue. The primary drivers for the final purchase decision were SecureVue's overall flexibility, customization and end-to-end correlation functionality, which include extensive log management and flow reporting capabilities.
According to Daniel Frye, senior manager of information security at CedarCrestone, "With a lot of sensitive customer information in our data center, it was critical for us to find a solution to closely monitor and manage all activity across the enterprise. SecureVue's comprehensive correlation of network, system and PeopleSoft application events provides us with the detailed event tracking and proactive notification of developing security issues we require at a low total cost of ownership."
CedarCrestone, a Certified Advantage Partner of Oracle and winner of the Oracle 2007-2008 'PeopleSoft Solution' Titan Award, offers comprehensive consulting and managed services to its global customer base for the deployment, management and optimization of Oracle's PeopleSoft solutions. CedarCrestone will use SecureVue to monitor and protect over 600 servers and more than 500 PeopleSoft environments including Human Capital Management, Financial Management, Customer Relationship Management and Enterprise Portal.
"What impressed us was eIQ's responsiveness to the unique challenges inside our hosting center architecture model, particularly around defining and calculating security metrics within our environment," Frye said. "The flexibility of SecureVue enables us to cost-effectively meet our security and compliance requirements for our hosted clients despite significant differences in their PeopleSoft Internet Architecture implementations."
To speed investigation and root cause analysis, all correlated data can be viewed and drilled into by node from a single QuickVue window. Customizable dashboards and more than 1,500 reports provide role-base access that allows you to easily meet different user requirements. For instance, while executives view high-level risk assessment snapshots, IT teams can quickly drill into more complex monitoring, alerting and forensics detail. The platform's IT governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) functionality also enables CedarCrestone to establish and manage internal policies while meeting regulations, best practices and standards.
