Now mailers can easily utilize USPS approved Mail.XML 4.0 technology for scheduling Drop Ship and Origin appointments online with the U.S. Postal Service™. Saving mailers time through electronic notification of mailing and automatic tracking of appointments, FAST is a revamped system for making facility appointments with the USPS® more efficient.

To use FAST where mailers can take advantage of drop ship discounts by transmitting advanced notification of mailing data online to schedule appointments is one of the requirements for participating in Intelligent Mail full service.

Processing both Mail.dat® and non-Mail.dat data, Window Book's DAT-MAIL is a complete mailing management software. To enable mailers to participate in FAST for making drop ship appointments with the Postal Service, it uses MAIL.XML files. Not only can you communicate directly with the USPS FAST system, any appointments you make can automatically have the appointment number appear right on the 8125 form in the appropriate field. Mailers can also access their jobs to find out when the mail was actually delivered by communicating this information online.
