It has been announced by Fookes Software  that Aid4Mail is can now  support over 30 email clients and mailbox formats. Among these can be mentioned Office Outlook 2007, Windows Mail, and Windows Live Mail, under Windows 95/98/ME/NT4/2000/2003/XP/Vista. Import and export capabilities for MAPI profiles, PST databases, and MSG files are also included in the Office Outlook support.

Email can be sent to a different mail client, exported to be viewed through Internet Explorer, MS Excel, and most databases and archived in order to save some space, with the help of  Aid4Mail. Aid4Mail is a complicated tool, but not at all complicated to use. In addition to its other qualities, email can be merged into a single mailbox, or exported as individual message or text files, Also, attachments, embedded contents and email addresses can be extracted.

If you worry about losing your formatting, your information, attachments, embedded contents or message status, you don't have to. This will not happen with Aid4Mail. This is a very important feature to huge migrations. Even if the email client is disconnected, mail folders and files can be processed by  Aid4Mail. This includes tose stored on a CD or DVD. Mail can be filtered by date range and header content, or by message body content in  the Forensic, Enterprise, and Console versions.

Any archive can be sent with Aid4Mail, as the ZIP files are highly compressed. In the ZIP archive, attachments are extracted and saved, and the duplicates are removed. Thus, you don't need another utility in order to access them. The same goes for messages, which can also be found within the ZIP file, in the mbox format. They are thus compatible and can be read with any text editor. The ZIP archives can also be re-converted to any other supported format within  Aid4Mail.

Four versions of Aid4Mail are commercialized: Standard, Professional, Forensic, and Enterprise. Each has a variety of licensing options including multi-user and/or site licenses. A Win32-console version of Aid4Mail, which can run from batch files and other applications, is also distributed with certain licenses.

A large variety of email applications are supported by Aid4Mail. Among these are included all versions of Office Outlook, Outlook Express, Windows Mail, Windows Live Mail, Eudora, Mozilla Mail and Thunderbird, Netscape Messenger, The Bat!, Pegasus Mail, PocoMail, Barca, Opera Mail, Forte Agent, Calypso, Courier, PMMail, FoxMail, EML message files, Mac Mail.app EMLX files, maildir folders, and generic mailboxes based on the mbox format.
