CSC announced that it will team with HealthTrio LLC to add portal and personal health record (PHR) solutions to CSC's FirstPortfolio offering for health plans and other payer clients. The added components include HealthTrio connect and HealthTrio PHR solutions. FirstPortfolio allows health plans to add new functionality in a fraction of the time required for traditional implementations while reducing financial risk and decreasing capital expenditures.

    FirstPortfolio provides users with a collection of configurable applications that are hosted and maintained by CSC. Through the alliance with HealthTrio, FirstPorfolio now offers a comprehensive and customizable PHR system with integrated data and automated workflow. HealthTrio also provides online access to providers and members. Health plans benefit from a single contract that includes pre-negotiated prices for applications that are available through FirstPortfolio and CSC's data center management services.

    Providers can verify eligibility and plan benefits, confirm coverage, and submit referrals and authorizations. Members can search for a provider, select or change primary care physicians, view plan benefits, check medical claims and update demographic information.
