eCapture for EMC Documentum ApplicationXtender, a new addition to Daybreak's eCapture SuiteTM of distributed content capture and delivery solutions, was announced today by a provider of enterprise content management (ECM) software and consulting services, Daybreak Intellectual Capital Solutions, Inc. Enabling users to easily capture and deliver paper documents and electronic content directly into selected AX repositories, eCapture for AX is tightly integrated out of the box with EMC Documentum ApplicationXtender.
Consisting of the core capture engine and AX plug-in, eCapture for AX is built on a modular platform, that makes it easy to capture, process, and deliver content into the target repository. Giving users the ability to capture and deliver documents into multiple repositories from a single interface, without having to toggle back and forth between applications, eCapture Suite provides, in cases where AX is being utilized in addition to other enterprise content management systems, the ability to deploy multiple plug-ins for other ECM systems in conjunction with the AX plug-in.
Configurable document profiles enable users to easily define document metadata capture and destination repositories. Metadata capture is completely automated via zonal or full text OCR, and supported file formats include PDF, searchable PDF and TIFF. As well with no requirement for custom release scripts or export modules, index field mapping with the target repository is completely automated. Enabling real-time communication with the server and eCapture desktop client, eCapture for AX connects directly to the ApplicationXtender server.
eCapture for AX pricing is based on a concurrent licensing model with no page count limitations. Product availability is scheduled for late Q208. Product demos are occurring this week at EMC World in Las Vegas.
