The release of HouseLinc 2, the next generation of the award-winning the HouseLinc - INSTEON Desktop Software has been announced by SmartLabs, Inc. HouseLinc 2, building on the original software designed for the management of INSTEON-compatible devices in the home, includes new features like background link management, enhanced product support and an all new look. It is available as a kit for first time users or as a free upgrade kit for original HouseLinc owners. Each kit comes with a required HouseLinc 2-enabled INSTEON PowerLinc Modem.
From the convenience of a PC, HouseLinc 2 allows users to manage links, build scenes, create timers and establish event triggers for INSTEON and X10 devices alike. Users have the freedom to continue working from their desktop as devices across the network are being synchronized in the background with this latest product release. Additionally, enhanced feature sets for new and existing INSTEON products have been added for greater control. HouseLinc 2, rounding out the new look and feel, features an intuitive link status feedback along with user-friendly buttons and menus that are easy on the eyes.
