IDE and SATA Drives Conversion No Longer A Problem  » read source

Data Protection Solutions by Arco (DPS-Arco) is a leader in the development and creation of affordable and easy to use disk mirroring, drive copier and drive to drive backup solutions. For over 15 years, system integrators and computer users worldwide have depended on Arco's patented DupliDisk (DD3 and DD4) technology to keep their businesses up and running even if disaster strikes. With hard drive capacity growing into the hundreds of gigabytes, traditional backup media, such as Zip, CD and DVD disks and even tape can no longer provide a convenient or efficient method for protecting your large data files. Increasingly, computer users are turning to a second hard drive to provide the backup storage space they need. Drive to drive backup and storage solutions are what we do. The company's products fall into three categories: EzRAID IDE and SATA RAID1 hardware disk mirroring for continuous data protection; EzBackup hardware and software for automatic backup to an external (or internal) drive; and EzCopy devices for drive to drive duplication.

Arco released on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 the new way to convert IDE and SATA drives. With its latest swap technology the EzCopy DD4 now has available 3.5" and 2.5" caddies permitting any IDE or SATA drives be connected to the EzCopy DD4 and making possible the creation of an exact copy of an IDE drive to a SATA or SATA to IDE. The caddies have been created to easily copy SATA drives to IDE and IDE to SATA. The EzCopy DD4 is small, fast and simple and it needs no connection to a computer so it doesn't tie up computer resources. It supplies an exact image of the source disk with the touch of a button. An easy to read LCD makes its front panel operation a snap by inserting the caddies, pressing the button and leaving it to copy your information.

Itzik Levy, owner of Data Protection Solutions stated "Our caddies will fit all your needs, from 3.5' IDE and SATA to 2.5" IDE and SATA laptop drives. You will always be able to make a copy to a different type of drive with the touch of a button and without a computer".
