Druvaa has revealed the availability of its long awaited Druvaa inSync v2 on Linux platform. The Linux release is still a beta, but has all the features available in the Windows version, amongst which data deduplication (10X Faster backup with 90% reduction in bandwidth and storage), continuous data protection (Timeline based, from the past restore), WAN Optimization (Faster backups for remote usres over WAN/VPN). The security level of this new release includes 256 byte SSL and 256 bit AES encryption, on-demand restore which enables GUI and browser based restores from any point in the past. Also, advanced reporting for six different reporting options for flexible and detailed reporting, and API configuration to enable integration with third party software, are some more features.
The first beta is released as 32 bit RPM and DEB packages and supports Fedore Core 8+, Ubuntu 7.04+ and openSuse 10+ distributions.
