A merger that completed last month has been announced today by Foreground Security and The Hacker Academy. The agreement between Foreground Security, which is a leading provider of information security solutions, internet security services and training and an internationally-recognized information security training company, The Hacker Academy, became official in June, 2008. The two companies together have an impressive client list that includes IRS, Google, NASA, CDC, McKesson and other major corporations and government agencies.

Ranging from performing penetration testing, to role-based training, to courses on ethical hacking, the companies have utilized their information security professionals in a variety of ways. In the agreement the founder and president of The Hacker Academy, Aaron Cohen, will retain his role of Managing Partner and EVP of Business Development.

Mr. Cohen stated: "This is an excellent opportunity to take The Hacker Academy to a higher level. We have become known for our delivery of extremely high level courses to organizations globally and will continue to do so under the Foreground name".

With the on-site and public classes offered through The Hacker Academy, Foreground security is now in a position to expand their offerings in the world of IT security training.

"Bringing The Hacker Academy into Foreground Security is very exciting, given that the need for services in addition to those that we have been providing for over ten years is growing. We are now being called upon for information security awareness and IT security training, The Hacker Academy is the perfect outlet for this"
, declared Managing Partner and CIO of Foreground Security, David Amsler.

The Hacker Academy will continue to carry its name and branding as a part of Foreground Security. Cohen continued: "This will open the door to many new challenges and great opportunities for both organizations and we look forward to providing our customers with a more comprehensive package of information security services as a result of this merger".
