Unlimi-Tech Software announced that FileCatalyst, its accelerated file transfer suite, is now fully integrated with Microsoft Interactive Media Manager. Microsoft Interactive Media Manager is a collaborative media management solution that extends Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 for media and entertainment companies.

Not only can FileCatalyst guarantee line speed, it can actually provide effective throughput 2-3 times greater than line speed.
This translates to speeds 50 or more times faster than traditional transfer methods.Featuring patent-pending acceleration technology with less than 1% overhead, on-the-fly compression and byte-level incremental transfers, FileCatalyst uses software automation to overcome the file transfer inefficiencies associated with FTP or other traditional file transfer methods.

The solution builds on existing technology investments,
and helps companies create an end-to-end content production system accessible by everyone. In addition, Interactive Media Manager easily integrates with Microsoft business intelligence tools, giving management insight into production details.

"File transfer is an important part of any media management solution, and IMM is no exception,
" said Gabriele Di Piazza, managing director of Media and Entertainment in the Communications Sector at Microsoft Corp. "The integration of FileCatalyst technology helps IMM users to remove the file transfer bottlenecks from their workflow."

"We are excited to offer Microsoft IMM customers the opportunity to experience the speed, security and reliability of FileCatalyst"
, explained Chris Bailey, Unlimi-Tech's CEO, "IMM customers can expect a speed gain anywhere from 2 to 50 times faster than what they are used to depending on their bandwidth and geographic location."

FileCatalyst provides on-the-fly compression and byte level incremental transfers to maximize throughput.
FileCatalyst is a software-based solution designed to accelerate and optimize file transfers across global networks. It is immune to the effects that latency and packet loss have on traditional file transfer methods like FTP, HTTP or CIFS.
