The Mining guide has been released by The Noob School to try to solve the problems the Mining profession has caused in World of Warcraft.
One of the most known professions in World of Warcraft could be in danger of being removed from the game or modified. With the addition of the Burning Crusade Expansion (2007) Blizzard unleashed yet another profession that relies heavily on Mining and another round of economical strains on the World of Warcraft economy.
Jewelcrafting, Engineering, and Blacksmithing are the three professions depending exclusively on Mining, which makes auction house prices to soar and mineral gathering competitiveness to reach a new high. Mining maps are now offered by The Noob School in order to help players overcome these issues caused by the mining profession.
"I'm not really sure what Blizzard's plans are to fix Mining, but I have been a long time miner in WoW and since the last expansion, I am unable to gather minerals efficiently because I usually pass a lot of miners who are looking for the same veins and deposits I am. Sometimes I have to login late at night when I should be sleeping just to get minerals to level my Blacksmithing," said a WoW player.
"Since the expansion I am not only having a hard time gathering minerals but the auction house prices are usually high and it's hard to find enough minerals on the auction house because the auction house farmers are continuously buying and reselling the minerals I need," complained another player.
These issues could determine Blizzard to entirely remove the Mining profession, but that is quite unlikely to happen because of the nature of Blacksmithing and the supplies it requires. However, other gathering professions for Jewelcrafting and Engineering could replace Mining, but things haven't been established yet.
Ally DeLonge, the founder of The Noob School, stated: "The problem isn't that Blizzard doesn't know what it's doing, believe me it does; it's that people aren't getting the information they need. My 1-375 Mining Guide, perfectly illustrates Mining routes to get your Mining to 375 and there are also guides for each individual mineral that tell players how to get the minerals they need, no matter what their skill level. Players need to be able to get this information and get it for free. This is exactly why I made thenoobschool.com. We have one of the most comprehensive Mining guides available on the Internet, and I encourage people to use it and spread the word. If enough people use guides like these you will see that the problem isn't the WoW economy, Blizzard, new expansions, or Mining; the problem is simply players not getting the information they need."
