A leading vendor of on-demand, integrated business management software suites for the mid-market enterprise and divisions of large companies, NetSuite Inc., announced that a global technology marketing executive with more than 25 years of experience, David Downing, has been named NetSuite's new Chief Marketing Officer. Downing, in this role, will be charged with driving awareness and adoption of NetSuite's Accounting/ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and Ecommerce software suites; overseeing all of NetSuite's worldwide marketing initiatives; and spearheading marketing initiatives aimed at moving NetSuite up market to meet the needs of mid-market enterprises.

At some of the technology industry's leading enterprise software organizations, including Oracle, Adobe, Informatica and SAP, Downing's leadership skills and innovative marketing strategies have been employed. Downing, before joining NetSuite, was Vice President of Marketing at venture-backed MetaLINCS, acquired by Seagate Technology, in December 2007. Downing, previously worked at SAP where he was an integral part of the team building support for SAP NetWeaver among independent software vendors (ISVs) and the venture capital community. Downing, as the vice president of marketing at Informatica, was a key member of the management team that built that company into a worldwide leader in data integration and business intelligence, which included a successful IPO in 1999.
