NitroSecurity, Inc. announced the availability of a new All-in-One model in the NitroView Enterprise Security Manager family. The new product provides Unified Security Management by incorporating the functionalities of Security Information and Event Management, Log Management and Network Behavior and Anomaly Detection into a single, 5,000 event per second, 1U appliance. In conjunction with the availability of the new All-in-One NitroView ESM, NitroSecurity is releasing a new version of software for all products in the NitroView ESM family that introduces more network and security functionality into its Unified Security Management offering.

With this new addition to the NitroView suite of products, NitroSecurity delivers holistic security management that enable businesses
of all sizes to lower their cost of acquisition, deployment and operation. NitroEDB is a high-performance relational data management engine that enables many of the advanced features found in NitroGuard and NitroView. NitroEDB is also a full-feature embedded relational data engine ideal for OEM customers. NitroEDB is capable of performing queries, counts, and analytics on large data stores, even under load, and still return results in under a second.

While all products in the NitroView ESM family deliver Unified Security Management, this newest addition allows businesses
to purchase a single appliance, with no requirement for additional hardware or software probes or agents to provide data collection and normalization. With its Any-Memory capability, NitroEDB is able to support the full spectrum of data management needs, from extremely fast in-memory applications to high-volume, very large database on-disk server systems.

"As the security industry continues to evolve, we are seeing a great deal of convergence around features and capabilities,
" Eric Ogren, president of The Ogren Group. "IT organizations are looking to streamline processes by converging security functions with operations management. The ability to process extreme amounts of data in real-time, such as with security event management and network flow data, and the operational insight gained by deep packet inspection, enables IT to simplify delivery of a secure business infrastructure."

NitroSecurity is able to deliver this multifunctional solution using its patented technology - NitroEDB,
a real-time relational data management engine. All NitroView ESM products utilize NitroEDB to combine the capabilities of a SIM, SEM, NBAD and Log Management into a single solution. The All-in-One model of NitroView ESM is currently available for $39,995 USD. For additional information including a Flash demonstration or to register for an individual Webinar of its next generation of network and security information management capabilities.

"When purchasing security management solutions, many businesses today are forced to choose between critical security functions
because they do not have the budget to support the full suite of security solutions they require," said Ken Levine, chief executive officer, NitroSecurity. "We are pleased to offer an answer to this problem with NitroSecurity's new NitroView ESM single-box appliance. Now, businesses of all sizes can save thousands of dollars and still obtain comprehensive network protection."

Futures in All-in-One NitroView Enterprise Security Manager:

    -  Identity Correlation: user identity is acquired from WMI logs, Radius and, in the future, from Active Directory, and used with event and flow correlation to identify who is responsible for or affected by particular security or network events.
    -  Expanded Compliance Reporting: more than 80 additional pre-formatted compliance reports for PCI, SOX, GBLA, FISMA, HIPAA and many others.
    -  Network & Event Analysis Topology (NEAT): at-a-glance topology viewing of overall network security health, showing event and flow information per device with visual indication for anomalous conditions.

Diskeeper Solves Slow Computer Fragmentation Issue
What is fragmentation, and why does it affect computers so adversely? When a computer needs to store a file, it attempts to do it as quickly as possible. Think of it like this; a stack of paperwork waist high has to be put into a series of filing cabinets. Third party software can be a huge help to aid in the task of defragmentation for those who don't want to bother running regular system maintenance manually. Forward thinking software companies like Diskeeper Corporation have developed technology that defragments a hard disk seamlessly without interrupting use.
