PECO II, Inc. announced that it will display its new Quantum small power platform in the Walker and Associates booth at NXTcomm. The Quantum platform is a 48-volt DC power system that combines high-density rectifiers, distribution and control in a sleek, low-profile shelf for optimized value to telecom carriers deploying fiber-to-the-node and traditional wireline architectures. Designed for the harsh outside plant environment, the Quantum system's small footprint makes it ideal for cabinets where rack space is at a premium.

Quantum is the first new product to be jointly marketed by PECO and Walker.
The partnership combines a leading manufacturer of telecom power systems with a world-class distributor and systems integrator. The Quantum Power System optimizes the user experience with a unique system controller that offers rapid input/output and PECO II's innovative QuickLoad system configuration capability. The controller features a technician-friendly input control device and a display that can be read easily in difficult outdoor conditions. The rectifiers include PECO II's unique I-View faceplate indicators that report rectifier current and load-sharing status.

"We are excited to join forces with Walker in the introduction of Quantum.
Walker's experience and marketplace presence ideally complement PECO's application and manufacturing capabilities. Through Walker, we will be able to reach a very important segment of our market," stated Jacquie Boyer, PECO II vice president of sales.

PECO II is the power equipment company of choice for many major carriers and service providers throughout North America.
The company designs and manufactures a broad variety of power systems that serve Central Office, Cell Site, Outside Plant and Enterprise applications. PECO II also offers a full suite of Engineering and Installation services for each application. PECO II designs and manufactures power equipment and systems to meet the needs of public networks and enterprise customers. Power systems are the fundamental building block of all networks, ensuring reliable power to support all types of communication systems. Understanding the customer’s application and knowing how to create the appropriate solution is a key differentiator for PECO II. The company’s products and services provide solutions that range from Central Offices and Mobile Switching Offices to Cell Sites to Cabinets and Customer Premises.

"PECO II is a highly respected, long-standing provider of telecom power.
This new association with PECO indicates our confidence in the direction it is taking in addressing the small power market segment. We are pleased to have them represented in our booth at NXTcomm," commented Mark Walker, president of Walker and Associates.
