PECO II, Inc. announced that it will display its new Quantum small power platform in the Walker and Associates booth at NXTcomm. The Quantum platform is a 48-volt DC power system that combines high-density rectifiers, distribution and control in a sleek, low-profile shelf for optimized value to telecom carriers deploying fiber-to-the-node and traditional wireline architectures. Designed for the harsh outside plant environment, the Quantum system's small footprint makes it ideal for cabinets where rack space is at a premium.
Quantum is the first new product to be jointly marketed by PECO and Walker. The partnership combines a leading manufacturer of telecom power systems with a world-class distributor and systems integrator. The Quantum Power System optimizes the user experience with a unique system controller that offers rapid input/output and PECO II's innovative QuickLoad system configuration capability. The controller features a technician-friendly input control device and a display that can be read easily in difficult outdoor conditions. The rectifiers include PECO II's unique I-View faceplate indicators that report rectifier current and load-sharing status.

Abilis Systems, a Kudelski Group company, announced the production silicon shipment of the AS-102, the world's first 90nm CMOS true "single-die" DVB-T mobile digital TV receiver. The AS-102 receiver is the first product in the world to integrate a multi-band RF tuner, with an advanced demodulator, memory and a USB 2.0 interface onto a single 90nm CMOS die, the most economic mass production semiconductor node. The receiver performance surpasses the MBRAI and Nordig2 specification.
