Once upon a time (well, about 5 years ago) we were dreaming of how good it would be, to have one Photographic destination where photographic enthusiasts of all skill levels could display their photos, learn, share, explore and sell their images in a really friendly place, full of other likeminded and passionate individuals.

So, after getting our tech friends onto that seemingly little project (ho hum...if only we knew then what we know now! ).....we started thinking about what we would call this gallery. Later that day...whilst stumbling through a bunch of obvious business names like the Photographer’s Art Gallery, the Photographic Art Gallery, The Photo Art Gallery and more...we considered the abbreviation of all these names - “The Ph.Art Gallery.” We reckoned it encapsulated just about everything Photographic and Arty ...and let’s face it...gave us a little chuckle as well.

Now whilst we like to think that our site will one day achieve its goal to be The Ultimate Photographic Destination, we want to make sure we all have some fun along the way. We’re very serious about great photography but we don’t want to be too serious about life... that’s why we’re affectionately known as Ph.Art! We are really excited about the opportunity to give flight to your creative dreams. There’s so much you can do here with your images we\'re certain you\'ll enjoy it, along with mingling with people from all over the world who share your passion for great photography.
