PreVisor is a provider of on demand pre-employment assessment software and employee selection solutions that helps organizations by connecting hiring decisions with business results. PreVisor's assessment content accurately predicts on-the-job performance and supports fair hiring practices. Its solutions not only help streamline hiring, but also reduce recruiting and training costs, and improve corporate performance for clients worldwide

PreVisor has wrapped up their annual LINK 2007 Client Conference. In a packed schedule, LINK proved to be a networking forum for ideas, innovation and collaboration where attendees heard detailed examples of solutions and tactics for aligning talent decisions to business outcomes, directly from their peers.

The conference opened with a company update by the CEO of PreVisor, Noel Sitzmann. He was the one who gave an overview of the changes in the company since the last conference that took place last year. Some of the corporate highlights were:
Consolidation of all the PreVisor companies into a unified administration and delivery platform - Select2Perform - was completed.
Assessment use among clients increased over 33% overall, year-over-year, reinforcing talent management trends being reported in major publications
Close to 1600 new clients signed up with PreVisor in the past year, some of them including Best Buy, Nokia, and the U.S. Transportation Security Administration.
Global expansion continued with the opening of a U.K. office in June, near London.

Jeff Noel from the Disney Institute, shared the magical way the world's largest single-site employer cultivates and maintains a unique culture - which he reinforced repeatedly, was "Culture by design, not default".

Multiple breakout sessions provided valuable sharing opportunities for PreVisor clients. For example, the one that included focusing on goal-oriented selection solutions presenting case examples from EMBARQ and Bank of America. Another example is focusing on legal compliance in selection processes as shared by Boeing and top experts in employment law.

Two more double sessions covered call center hiring with T-Mobile and Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC; best practices for implementing assessment programs with Valvoline, Starwood Hotels and The Body Shop; measuring ROI of people initiatives featuring Advance Auto and T-Mobile; and mastering the art of interviewing from Wells Fargo and Charter Communications.

The second day of the conference proved to be as educational as the first one. It began with the second keynote speaker, Gavin Appleby of Littler Mendelson, Global, who provided practical tips on how to minimize exposure in the world of employment-related legal issues.

The general session was continued by the SVP of Professional Services and Chief Product Officer, Caroline Paxman outlining the company's strategic vision and road map for product development
. In the past year, the product team has worked on developing a career interest inventory and added almost 250 new tests to the Select2Perform platform, launched InterView - an online interview guide builder, and created new simulation content for Contact Center and Front Line Manager positions.Ms. Paxman emphasized that PreVisor works closely with clients as partners in development, research and validation studies. She extended an invitation to other clients to join in the next research opportunities.

The last day's breakout sessions were presented by Nationwide and they covered the use of assessments for employee development, and a panel from American Express and Sprint Nextel. "I enjoyed and learned from nearly every minute of the conference. The last session I attended was a huge bonus. Nationwide just completed a project that is nearly identical to one I was asked to pursue in August. We are in the planning stages, and I feel that I leaped ahead about 8 weeks by attending the session. It will allow me to move forward without reinventing the wheel, "said Michael Blair of EMBARQ.

The closing luncheon provided a final opportunity for clients to submit feedback on the conference and to share thoughts and ideas. Consensus was that attendees wanted to continue networking beyond the event, and PreVisor is looking into expanding communication access for their client community.
