For resellers worldwide, Unison Technologies has announced its partner program and pricing. Unison™, the unified communications software, will have a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $50 per user per year. Without any user limits, there will also be a perpetual license option at a per-server price of $36,000.
With commissions that scale up to 50%, competing with PBX vendors such as Cisco and e-mail vendors such as Microsoft, Unison will offer resellers far greater margins than those two companies. While simultaneously reducing costs for customers and upgrading them to unified communications, VARs who previously sold traditional PBX solutions or legacy e-mail products will be able to increase profits with Unison.
Chief marketing officer for Unison Technologies, Rurik Bradbury, stated:
"Unison will be the perfect product for thousands of VARs." He added: "It is easier to deploy, cheaper and more powerful than non-unified PBX and e-mail systems, so VARs will be able to increase sales. At the same time, the margins for selling Unison are high, so these higher sales will also be very profitable."
Unison combines a PBX system, instant messaging server, e-mail server, contacts and calendar into a single server and desktop client. One single Unison server can handle communications for an entire company, meaning that small and midsized businesses (SMBs) no longer need to buy separate and expensive non-unified servers or PBX systems. The IT department, by deploying Unison, reduces cost and maintenance by as much as 80%, while end users become more productive thanks to unified communications - gaining as much as one hour of productivity per day, according to a study by Sage Research.
