| Lawsuit Filed In Barbados Argues That Prince And Spike Lee Have Violated Copyright |
 A multi-million dollar lawsuit was filed by James Brandon's company, Brandnu Entertainment Inc. with the help of the attorney Ernest W. Jackman on the 23rd of November 2007. The lawsuit is founded on the argument that the song “Phone Sex” belonging to the R&B group GOMAB was partially stolen by Spike Lee, who released the song "Girl6" in 1996, that was later performed by Prince. The lawsuit claims that important bits of the R&B group's hit were reintroduced in Spike Lee's song as though he had created it from scratch.
