The SATELLITE 2008 show floor showcases more than 54,000 square feet of new products and services from more than 270 leading solutions providers, including SES New Skies, Hughes, Eutelsat, General Dynamics SATCOM Technologies and TANDBERG Television, Part of the Ericsson Group.

Crawford Satellite Services (Booth #718) launched an MPEG-4 HD (high definition) platform on SES AMERICOM's satellite AMC-18
for domestic distribution into cable and DBS (digital broadcast system) providers. This platform, using the latest technology, offers bandwidth efficient distribution and transport for programmers, including cable television network Tennis Channel.

Foxcom's entirely new suite of products: the SatLight/Platinum. Based on breakthrough RF to fiber technology,
the suite is designed to meet today's increasing demands for higher performance and more RF control and monitoring. The Platinum family includes products for L-band, IF, 10MHz, 5MHz, and a host of accessories. SwiftBroadband by Vizada is Inmarsat's first fully IP- based, high-speed data service offering broadband in-flight connectivity including both cockpit communications and cabin applications. SwiftBroadband by Vizada enables a diverse range of applications from safety communications, weather and flight-plan updates to e-mail, Internet and phone services.

Wegener Corporation's new Unity 552 Enterprise Media Receiver.
The Unity 552 has bandwidth-efficient MPEG-4/h.264 video coding for both standard definition and high definition video, digital and analog outputs, as well as advanced DVB-S2 demodulation. iDirect Technology's Series 12000 universal 4-slot hub. The new hub supports multiple inbound and outbound networks on up to four satellites with a fifth slot that can be used for configuration or redundancy.

Micronetics CNG70/140-L has been enhanced with many enhanced features including an easy to use calibration menu.
The new ICS-400 Iridium Communications System is designed to provide a standalone comprehensive suite of global voice and data services with connectivity to other aircraft systems. Symmetricom, Inc's 4370A DVB Sync Source is a high performance, flexible and highly reliable timing system designed for Single Frequency Network (SFN) synchronization for Digital Video Broadcasting and Digital Audio Broadcasting applications. MITEQ's new Switchable Band Test Loop Translator product line.  These units are designed to translate the C-, X- and Ku-Band transmit bands to their respective receive frequency bands.

MCL, Inc's MT2300 outdoor TWT amplifier is a low-power, cost-effective, reliable solution that will meet any satellite uplinking
requirement. Weighing less than 32 lbs., the MT2300 TWTA is available for Ku-Band applications (13.75-14.50GHz) at 125 or 200W, or Ka-Band applications (27.5-31.0GHz) at 40/100 PK, 70/150 PK, 70/180 PK.

TEMBO Reflectors provide Higher Frequency and Larger Aperture Satellite Capabilities.
CTD's  TEMBO antenna reflector technology can provide high frequency performance and more than triple the available aperture on a given satellite. dBm Corporation's Model SLE700 satellite link emulator. The SLE700 can accommodate the needs of next-generation military and commercial communication satellites that process signals at very high data rates. Satellite payload developers must evaluate how the communications hardware will perform during service.
