Chelsio Communications, Inc. and Scali unveiled the Scali MPI Connect v5.6.3 is now supported by the Chelsio family of 10GbE Unified Wire RDMA/TCP adapters. Chelsio's iWARP solution supports User Direct Access Programming Library and is OpenFabrics Enterprise Distribution compliant. Support for the OFED software stack is already integrated into major versions of Linux distributions from Red Hat Inc. and Novell, Inc., making the Chelsio iWARP approach a 'plug-and-play' solution for Linux users.

Message Passage Interface(MPI) is one of the most successful standards in the computing industry
and has a ubiquitous leadership in high performance computing. Scali MPI Connect is a performance leader among the various MPI implementations, improving end-users' ROI of their compute resources and includes patent-pending support for iWARP-enabled relaxed packet ordering. Scali MPI Connect is a fully integrated MPI solution that enables companies to take seamless advantage of leading interconnect technologies to build high-performance clusters. Heterogeneous support allows customers to utilize these features without constraints based on hardware platform, operating system, interconnect or configuration.

Now with Scali MPI Connect support for Chelsio 10GbE iWARP adapters
, Scali MPI Connect users can further enhance the performance of their applications, using Ethernet-based adapters that deliver the industry's lowest latency and 10 times the message rate over existing standards-based cluster networking products. Chelsio 10GbE Unified Wire adapters are the leaders among standards-based cluster interconnect offerings. With Scali MPI Connect support, Chelsio adapters now seamlessly interoperate with applications from the numerous ISVs supporting the Scali MPI Connect standard.

According to Rob Secontine, Scali's vice president of sales,
"The performance of 10GbE adapters from Chelsio makes them an ideal fit for Scali customers seeking a complete Ethernet-based solution for their intensive computing needs. We are excited to work with Chelsio and expect that our customers will be enthusiastic about using Chelsio's industry-leading interconnect products."

Scali MPI Connect consistently outperforms other solutions at both application run time and application scaling,
enabling you to maximize the performance of your applications within your environment. Focused on accelerating and scaling your applications, Scali MPI Connect is a fully integrated message passing interface (MPI) solution, enabling your applications to run at maximum performance through its unique, high performance MPI implementation. Scali MPI Connect delivers faster performance through application enhancement.

"Working with Scali MPI Connect allows us to provide the highest performing Ethernet-based interconnect for the HPC community.
Integrated Software Vendors using Scali MPI Connect will be able to avoid the expense of testing and supporting numerous variations of their applications for 10GbE-based Linux clusters," stated Kianoosh Naghshineh, president and CEO of Chelsio Communications.
