The integration of RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) into their club management software check-in functionality has been today announced by Club Sentry, Inc. The pieces, consisting of an RFID Proximity Sensor and member held Radio Transmitter Key Fobs, combine to send the member ID number to Club Sentry as the member approaches, allowing Club Sentry to determine member eligibility and open an electronically locked door or turnstile.
President of Club Sentry, Inc., Scott Rodgers, stated: "We are very excited about integrating this technology into our software and product offering." He continued: "It gives our customers the extremely useful options they have been asking for in secure Access Control and presents Club Sentry with a number of new opportunities for introducing its software to new market segments."
Current Club Sentry check-in hardware options also include the Bar Code Reader & ID Cards, Fingerprint (Biometric), Numeric Keypad, Photo ID and Electronic Remote Entry (opens turnstile or electronically locked door) or manual check-in by front desk personnel.
Vice President of Club Sentry, Inc., JD Williams, declared:
"We are very optimistic about the prospects for this functionality in the Residential market." He added: "With the addition of the proximity technology, we can handle entry to the residential club as well as entry to the property, whether unlocking a door or opening a gate. The Club Sentry Billing Module allows monthly fees, common charges and fines to be assessed and collected by invoice, credit card or EFT."
