SeeFile4 – New Way Of Communicate On Mac

SeeFile, the developer of web server software for sharing media files, is announcing Release 4.0 of its product at a press conference at MacWorld Expo. With one-click installation, approval features, and 3D, Flash and RAW support, SeeFile4 rivals corporate DAM systems costing $10,000 and up. The company is also announcing UK and Australian distributors for the product, and seeking additional distributors worldwide.

SeeFile4 incorporates a host of new innovations, and is fully compatible with Apple's OSX 10.5 Leopard
operating system. Seefile software transforms your Mac into a web server, allowing you to share your media files online and stay in constant communication with your customers and/or coworkers.

SeeFile4 runs as server software on any OSX Mac, turning it into a "live" webserver that provides a continuous view
of all digital files saved on the hard disk. SeeFile4 leverages the unique capabilities of Apple's Mac OSX software platform and Macintosh hardware to deliver a simple, elegant tool for communication between creative pros in the print, photography, and video communities, and their clients. Administrative tools are included that simplify creation of user accounts and management of approval workflows.

One user of the software, Igor Perchuk, president of Image Source Productions, has been able to replace both clumsy FTP transfers
and limited email attachments with Seefile: "My customers are able to review and download proofs if I allow them to, upload their own graphical files to the same folders, and communicate approvals with a click. It's a phenomenal way to handle a range of client communication issues that in the past, have really limited small graphics firms like mine. I've been looking for something like this for years."

The main advantage of SeeFile is that it updates continuously from your filesystem,
without requiring uploads at your end. SeeFile lets you make specified areas visible to one or more colleagues, each with their own login. The main method of accessing SeeFile is a fixed IP location or URL, which can be linked to your main website wherever it is located.

Image files, PDFs and QuickTime movies all display in thumbnail and expanded views, and folders are clickable just as they are on your desktop.
And we haven't stopped there; SeeFile includes advanced features such as a messaging system that lets everyone comment on files and folders, a File Actions menu that lets you launch scripted commands without being a programmer, and a user-defined logo in the upper left of every page.

New features of SeeFile4 include:

    - One step installation with embedded PostGres SQL database
    - New approval workflow that increases productivity and customer use
    - Support for DWF, Flash(.FLV) and a wide range of RAW files - 30 day trial version available for immediate download
