An offshore development center of a leading system integration consultancy with expertise in areas including enterprise content management (ECM), business intelligence and collaborative platform solutions, Verinon Technology Solutions, Inc., called Verinon Technology Solutions Pvt. Limited, announced today it has achieved Software Engineering Institute's (SEI) Capability Maturity Model Integration for Development (CMMI-DEV) Level 3 rating satisfying the new V1.2 evaluation requirements.

The assessment encompassed a thorough review of engineering, project management, support and process management practices on a variety of projects including Verinon’s projects and flagship products which include a claims software platform delivered in the SaaS model and server based migration and workflow software products among others.

PhD, of Fusion Technologies who served as the lead consultant during this appraisal, Dr.V.Chandrasekhar, explained: “The Capability Maturity Model Integration for Development (CMMi-DEV) is an internationally recognized evaluation standard for assessing software development practices”. “Since the CMMi-DEV 1.2 was introduced in 2006 as the improved successor to version 1.1, it has become the standard by which organizations measure the maturity level of their processes”, further explained Dr.V.Chandrasekhar. The standard was developed by members of industry, the federal government and Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute (SEI).
