Support for the Sharp 15.4 inch 1280x800 LCD panel has been announced by Digital View. With excellent color performance, this TFT-LCD panel has low reflection, color filters. Making this model optimum for multi-media applications, it includes backlights that reveal brighter and clearer pictures.

The panel is well matched with the high-performance Digital View DVS-1600 LCD controller. Along with wide range of video modes, the DVS-1600's flexible port architecture provides physical inputs for S-Video, VGA, DVI, and Composite Video. The DVS-1600 comes pre-programmed to support a wide range of panel models and resolutions that are selectable via switches. As well as panel formats of 4:3, 5:4, 16:9, and 16:10, it supports panel resolutions from VGA (640 x 480 pixels) all the way up to UXGA (1600 x1200). New panel timing and other features may be updated when needed via the controller's serial port.

Built in support for a wide range of industry standard VESA timing modes, plus support of legacy video modes such as Sync-On-Green and Composite Sync are other included features of the DVS-1600. The controller is built around a highly integrated chip set for a low component count and high product reliability and a 3-year warranty.
