Now including support for scanning multi-page documents using inexpensive flatbed scanners, the developer of VueScan, the world's most widely used scanning software, Hamrick Software, has released its latest version 8.4.71. Using scanners with or without document feeders, this lets users scan both single-sided and two-sided documents in any page order. Including scanning from last page to first page (or the reverse), scanning two sided documents with a single-side document feeder, and re-ordering and deleting pages, many options are available, and those multi-page documents can be saved to either PDF files or TIFF files.
President of Hamrick Software, Ed Hamrick, commented:
"Many people use VueScan for scanning documents, and they often scan multi-page documents to PDF files. Numerous users have requested these new features, which make scanning documents easier and more flexible." "We have seen strong growth in the document scanning marketplace in the past few years and we expect this trend to continue. We think that this feature will be very useful for our customers, as it is not widely available with other scanning software. This feature works with all supported flatbed scanners, both with and without a document feeder."
Including options for scanning faded slides and prints and automatically adjusting images to optimum color balance that reduces the need to manually do it in Photoshop and being available for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux, VueScan offers a full range of advanced features. It produces colors that look true to life, including built-in IT8 color calibration of scanners, batch scanning and other advanced and powerful scanning and productivity features, including PDF output.
Standard Edition ($39.95 USD) and Professional Edition ($79.95) are the versions in which VueScan is available.
