Leading provider of solutions and services that deliver quality as a continuous process throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) for embedded and real time systems, Parasoft Embedded, today announced full support of a comprehensive, end-to-end solution for software development that supports all ARM processors and ARM debug technology, called ARM® RealView® Development Suite 3.1 (RVDS).

A division of Parasoft Corporation, Parasoft Embedded, brings an innovative and integrated solution for C and C++ development that supports a broad range of best practices proven to deliver software quality as a continuous process. Development teams will reduce, with Parasoft Embedded solution, the effort, time, and cost of testing embedded and real-time system applications by enabling extensive testing on the host and streamlining validation on the target.

ARM Product Manager - Compilation Tools, Andrew Beeson, said: “The Parasoft C++test package provides a powerful set of quality tools that can now be used by ARM embedded developers”. “With its support for ARM's high-performance compilers and easily customizable configurations, Parasoft C++test fits seamlessly into both the ARM RealView Development Suite 3.1 Eclipse-based environment as well as command-line build environments.”

While developing applications targeted for the latest ARM technology-based processors that power the mobile world, the new fully-integrated Parasoft Embedded plug-in for ARM RVDS provides teams easy access to Parasoft Embedded’s full code analysis and unit testing capabilities. Including test case generation, execution, deployment, cross-compilation, and loading results back into the GUI, the complete target-based test execution flow can be automated via the direct interface with RVDS facilities and customized as needed. Tests can be debugged using the native RVDS debugger.
