The Pimsleur method, the newest foreign language learning method, is offered by Smartsource Products (http://www.pimsleur-language.com ). Via a CD or Cassette, and by listening for 30 minutes a day, the language programs offer the learning capabilities of another language.

Created by researcher Dr. Paul Pimsleur, who received his Ph.D. from Columbia University and being scientifically proven to work, the Pimsleur method has today's world in achieving the knowledge of learning a different language via audio. 30 minutes of audio only language per day is the only optimal period and venue, after which the mind loses its ability to retain new information, as concluded by his research. The Pimsleur method allows an audio formatted disc to be the only source in which the learner needs in order to learn the new language of their choice.

The Pimsleur method, unlike other forms of foreign language programs, such as software or classes, is portable and does not call for one to sit in front of a computer, or attend a class. Including Greek, Croatian, Japanese, Farsi, Irish, and many more, the product offered by Smartsource Products includes over 40 different languages.

Dan Maxel said: "I have actually purchased quite a large number of Pimsleur programs over the past few years. I used the Japanese program a couple years ago to get a head start on a Japanese class with a tutor. After finishing the first ten lessons I went to my first class, where the tutor was literally awestruck with my ability after telling her I had only been studying the language two weeks. With all my experience studying languages the past twenty plus years, I can easily say the Pimsleur approach is by far the best self-study course available. I have looked extensively at others, but all of those far pale in comparison-although they do seem to spend more in marketing."
