A new site designed by digital agency R/GA has been launched, http://www.lorealparis.com , that gives beauty interested customers information and expert advice. The new website, presented in an attractive and glamorous format, provides an expert diagnostic tool that gives customers beauty advices.
The celebrities representing the brand can also be seen on the site, along with top industry professionals, and products across all beauty categories. All four beauty categories are covered by the site, namely skincare, haircare, haircolor and cosmetics, provided by this all-inclusive beauty brand.
The most professional diagnostic tool is the basic feature of this website. L'Oreal Paris's "Can I Help You?" helps customers make wise decisions about their products. In addition, customers are also offered customized beauty solutions created by famous L'Oreal Paris experts like Christophe Robin, Dr. Lydia Evans, and Collier Strong. Users are requested to answer a few questions in order to be correctly guided. A complex algorithm is then developed, determining a customized solution from thousands of possibilities. In addition, video tutorials and expert tips are also provided on the site.
Carol Hamilton, president at L'Oreal Paris, said: "We're thrilled to be able to offer our customers the opportunity to interact with the brand. From our products and celebrity spokespeople to our influential beauty experts, our new website makes it very easy for customers to find the
products they love and new ones to try, with expert guidance, education, and customization."
Bob Greenberg, chief executive officer and global chief creative officer at R/GA, also said: "It was important to us to create a site that provides engaging tools, robust information, and above all, is actually useful."
Over 250 videos and articles are also included on the site, giving tips and information to L'Oreal customers.
Among the site's best features is My L'Oreal, allowing customers to build up a list of their favorite products, videos, and recommendations. Customers simply have to click on "+ My L'Oreal" to make a list of their favorites. They can also choose to be signed up to newsletters. Registered users have more benefits. They can watch for example an exclusive interview with Beyonce and have products tailored for their needs in the Exclusively Yours section.
Another feature of the site is Beauty Filter. Customers can easily find the product they need with the help of this tool. Visitors can filter through and explore the product catalogue based on unique criteria, such as spokesperson, color, age, and product benefit. This filter also does something that no other beauty site does: it serves up educational and inspirational content like relevant tutorial videos and articles. Products recommended via the "Can I Help You?" diagnostic tool are tagged with a star, so users can easily find their products as they explore the entire site.
Another important feature is Spokespeople. Customers are given access to in-depth coverage and behind-the-scenes footage of their iconic spokespeople including Penelope Cruz, Diane Keaton, Scarlett Johansson, Eva Longoria, Beyonce Knowles, and Heather Locklear.
The official launch of the site will be in January 2008.
