Sponsored by IllinoisVENTURES, iVentures10 is a new kind of summer intern program for computer science students with a great idea for software or web based start-up company. Student teams will develop, during the 10 summer weeks, their idea into a working prototype and lay the groundwork to launch their start-up. There is a particular focus this year in ideas and concepts that build upon the open Web platform, while students are able to propose ideas in all areas of technology.
iVentures10 has partnered with Mozilla Labs to this end. Unique opportunities for teams to build upon exciting new open Web technologies, participate in their development, and have their projects promoted to millions of potential users worldwide, will be provided by rhe partnership with Mozilla Labs.
VP and General Manager of Mozilla Labs, Chris Beard, said:
"We're excited to support the iVentures10 program to promote and accelerate the development and release of innovative Web products and technologies".
