    Toshiba’s Digital Products Division introduced the widescreen TLP-WX2200U 3LCD mobile projector for professionals, educators and consumers who demand incredible imaging, high-end features and WXGA native resolution without the premium price. The compact and sleek 6.2-pound TLP-WX2200U LCD projector, utilizes 3LCD technology for outstanding color reproduction and an impressive 2,200 ANSI lumens for a bright display in any setting.

    Toshiba’s newest projector matches today’s widescreen notebook computer resolutions and offers a built-in theft deterrent technology
, automatic vertical keystone correction and “blackboard” function with wall color adjustment for an ESUP of $999.

    The widescreen WXGA 1280 x 800 native resolution and sharp 600:1 contrast ratio
outputs a superior and brilliant image for professional presentations and larger-than-life images for digital home entertainment, such as video gaming, weekend sports and DVD movies.

    TLP-WX2200U projector includes a sophisticated approach to security.
A removable palm-sized control panel on the projector is specially designed with a self-assigned password for theft prevention. When the control panel is removed, the projector is rendered inoperable unless the password is entered on the remote control or when the control panel is replaced.

     “The TLP-WX2200U projector was designed to meet our business and education users demand for a widescreen format
that matched the latest notebook resolutions for detailed imaging and additional display space,” said Sam Malik, director of projector sales and marketing, Toshiba Digital Products Division. “Toshiba is proud to offer this widescreen format without passing on the premium price to our customer.”

The Toshiba TLP-WX2200U projector also includes the following leading-edge features:

    - One-touch auto setup on a fully-loaded presentation remote to ensure worry-free, professional presentations even in the most unforgiving environments;
    - Toshiba’s unique Natural Color Enhancer3 color correction circuitry, delivering exceptionally sharp and vivid images that more closely match the original presentation colors;
    - Digital zoom function on the remote control allows the presenter to zoom in on a specific image or presentation element, such as spreadsheet numbers or other important details;
    - Instant power shut down capability that enables the projector to power off instantly once disconnected from the power outlet with no cool-down time required;
    - HDTV/DTV compatible;
    - A variety of connectivity options, such as composite and S-video inputs, audio in/out capabilities;
    - Whisper-quiet operation of only 31 decibels (dB) (in low mode) – quieter than a soft conversation.
    - Special monitor-out capabilities to display and view images on a monitor and screen simultaneously, allowing presenters to face their audience rather than turning around to read slides as they appear on the screen;
    - Automatic vertical keystone correction (+/- 30 degrees) that instantly projects a square image even when the projector is set up at a steep offset angle to the screen;
    - Password protection and key-lock function to help prevent unauthorized use;
