uPlay, LLC has introduced a new handheld GPS rangefinder that is so graphically and visually superior, it is being touted as the Apple iPhone of golf GPS technology. The uPro distance measuring device which debuts at the 2008 PGA Show in Orlando Jan. 16-19, gives golfers the best of both GPS and Laser technologies in a small, easy-to- use system.

With aerial photography, video flyovers and easily viewable high resolution color display,
the uPro is the most functional, effective and intuitive hand-held rangefinder in the industry. The uPro outperforms every device on the market with its dynamic color imagery, detailed course lay-outs, video flyovers and aerial views of every hole on the course. In addition, the uPro allows the golfer to get exact distances to and from any point on the course.

uPlay, LLC, is an integrated products design company co-founded by Joseph Balardeta and Scott Denton.
The two partners combined more than 25 years of semiconductor and systems design experience into creating a world class electronic product that would enhance the golfer's playing experience and make the game more fun. One of the outstanding features of the uPro is Pro Mode. In Pro Mode, uPlay's patent pending SmartView technology automatically generates the proper views of the course based on a golfer's current location and updates those views appropriately as you move on the golf course.

"It was our goal to develop a distance-measuring device with the most advanced features and optimum usability,"
said Balardeta, who also serves as company president. "The uPro allows golfers to see the course and the game from a whole new perspective."

By knowing the precise distance to the hole as well as the carry over bunkers in the fairway or around the green,
golfers will have the confidence of knowing exactly what club to hit. There are other benefits of the uPro that are bound to improve any golfer's experience. The search for a sprinkler head is eliminated, so the pace of play will be improved. This will enable them to select the right club and make a confident swing, which will result in better shots and lower scores.

"The uPro is setting a whole new standard for GPS products" said Balardeta.
"We believe the uPro's breakthrough design and advanced technology will revolutionize the golf rangefinder industry and make it an indispensable part of the game."

Three different views allow the player to plan out the perfect shot. Unlike other GPS units or lasers,
Pro Mode gives a golfer all the distances they need all in one screen. Scale accurate measurements are used to measure to and from any point on the golf course, even the outskirts of the rough.
