videoNEXT announced release version 2.5 of its Security Knowledge Manager. The most significant new enhancements of this scalable IP surveillance and security solution focus on advancements in its Access Control Integration Framework and Command and Control capabilities. SKMTM provides the easiest and most scalable IP surveillance and security solution available today. Combine this with full policy-level administration and a flexible high availability Storage Volume Manager (SVM) – you now have the capable, powerful, scalable, and easy to use surveillance and security tool ever developed.

"Version 2.5 represents a gigantic step forward in our product's capability to collect,
manage and disseminate physical security information. The new features in SKM version 2.5 provide users with an innovative AJAX-based web user interface that effectively turns a browser into an advanced command and control application - complete with real time sensor and alarm notification, advanced geo-coordinated 2D and 3D mapping and metadata annunciation,“ stated David Marra, videoNEXT's chief technology officer. ”videoNEXT will continue to set the innovation pace in this market by applying advanced web and information technologies to physical security information management."

Today’s IP-based surveillance systems use digital IP cameras—as opposed to analog closed-circuit cameras
—and “piggyback” video on your existing data network. videoNEXT's SKM software is the management platform behind today's IP-based surveillance and security management systems, providing a simple, seamless interface to view and manage all video and sensors from anywhere on a network or the Internet.

Proactively securing facilities, SKM is an open, standards-based software solution that integrates video surveillance,
access control and other sensors leveraging an organization's IT infrastructure. videoNEXT enhances enterprise-level security management and control using brand-independent hardware and networks. Security is critical to the lives of everyone; videoNEXT is proud to be at the forefront of technological innovations that deliver these solutions as cost effectively as possible.

SKM resides on a standard network server or server cluster. It stores and manages video from all of your cameras.
You use a common browser-based interface to seamlessly view all of your cameras’ live images and archived video. The interface also features built-in virtual joystick controls to operate your pan-tilt-zoom cameras remotely. No matter the combinations in types, quantity or locations of cameras, they can all be viewed and ad¬ministered remotely via your network or securely over the Internet. SSL and AES encryption ensure the security of the entire system,

The new features in version 2.5 of this web-based surveillance and security tool include:

    - New Access Control Framework that supports more vendors
    - New AJAX-based user/web-browser interface, providing: - Intuitive operation - Enhanced functionality - Innovative drag and drop capabilities
    - Cutting edge 2D and 3D geospatial mapping
    - Metadata correlation
