What Your Mother Never Told You, A New Self-Help Book for Teenage Girls

A new book has been launched by Richard Dudum - ''What Your Mother Never Told You: A Survival Guide for Teenage Girls''. The book addresses teenage girls and could be named as a “self-help book”.  Father of two daughters and two sons, Dudum fearlessly approaches the dilemmas teenage girls are facing nowadays. Although it presents highly sensitive issues and a colorful and lovely cover, the book makes a strong statement in its corner, being straight forward and to the point in answering clearly to all teenage girls dilemmas and issues.

The book might come as a bit of a shock at first, as it dares to trespass lands that have never been stepped on before. The book dares to go where no other such book has gone to, by trying to answer the most aching questions teenage girls ask themselves and to which they have no real answer.

Some of the most sensitive issues are boldly presented.
Among these could be mentioned: how to drink at a party, how to get up and leave before it's too late, how to deal with mean girls and protect yourself from manipulative boys, how to handle the Internet, how to anticipate and avoid the wrong place and wrong time, and how to avoid the consequences of dressing and acting like a 'ho'. Dudum seems to be quite compassionate when it comes to teen girls, understanding what they have to go through, the society they have to live in and the humiliation they have to handle. Common and practical, but effective tools are presented in ''What Your Mother Never Told You'', in addition to the strategies that sensibly advise teenagers in a language familiar to the, that they can really use and understand.

But ''What Your Mother Never Told You'' is not addressed only to teenage girls, it also comes as a helping hand to parents,
helping them understand the sensitive issues that make way in the world of a teenager. Parents are thus encouraged to communicate with their girls and even find the self-help book as an inspiration in opening the lines of communication with their teens in order to discover and find remedies for these issues.

Dudum stated:
"Pretending things aren't happening to your teenage girls is asking for trouble. Start talking before it's too late."
Richard Dudum is a San Francisco lawyer, musician, Realtor, summer-camp director, community leader and cancer survivor. He's been married for 25 years. ''What Your Mother Never Told You'' offers clear-sighted perspective and no-nonsense self-help advice from a father with the ability to convey tough love in a kind and supportive manner.
