Notable Solutions, Inc. has added an interface to its AutoStore Workflow that connects it to Windream Document Management System. The new component is already available as part of the standard functionalities offered by the AutoStore software. The largest beneficiaries of AutoStore enhancements are small and medium size organizations who use compact DMS solutions provided by Windream.
"It is the small and the medium size businesses who are interested in document management - at an affordable price," says Enno Lückel, COO of NSi Europe. The combination of Windream and AutoStore enables them to do so." NSi data capture solution is also scalable, ranging from the "lite" version, AutoStore Express at a price of only a few hundred dollars to the full-service enterprise version. The license is obtained per device - not per page count.
Thanks to this integration, a Windream user can use a wide range of commonly used multifunctional devices and scanners to capture documents directly into Windream. AutoStore-enabled scanning devices are very easy to operate. With only a few clicks, a user can build paths, rename files and send images to a specified destination with metadata attached. The user simply navigates to the desired menu for the desired document workflow option and enters the required index information and presses the scan button. The digitized document is OCR'd and saved to the document repository as a searchable PDF file.
"Windream products fit ideally into the AutoStore Workflow product suite which as a 'lite' verision meets the needs of not only large organizations but those of smaller and medium-size businesses," says Enno Lückel, COO of NSi Europe GmbH.
The Windream Standard Edition is generally used by smaller and medium-size companies and the Business Edition by large enterprises. A variety of integrations, for example, in ERP and workflow systems, extends the Windream product portfolio. Windream achieved outstanding results in all testing disciplines of the BARC test "Document Management "in 2005.
Windream GmbH is involved in the development, support, distribution and marketing of Windream, its document management and archiving system. NSi's suite of products is especially suitable for businesses with a demand for distributed scanning, or distributed data capture. NSi was among the first to develop capture solutions directly integrated with MFDs and easily operated via the device's own display panel.
AutoStore Workflow is a capture middleware that captures data from documents independent of the input source, processes it automatically and sends the processed content to various repositories and document management systems. The platform is primarily used together with MFDs to create menus and indexing forms on the device display panel.
