XMP-300 Digital Signage Player From IAdea  » read source

IAdea was founded in 2000 by a team of embedded software and server engineers to elaborate high-value application-specific solutions in conjunction with Asia's major hardware manufacturing partners. It is believed that IP-based content transmission technology will be an important part in tomorrow's world by offering significant and targeted visual information to everyone. The power of the emerging IP Media changes the way people shop, live and have fun. Google's targeted marketing through search technology is only the first step comparing to what the future holds.

Iadea is proud to present its new XMP-300 media player targeting professional digital signage integrators. The XMP-300 is a follow-up of the W3C SMIL Audio Video Standard for professional system integration projects. XMP-300 offers high-performance video features in a super-low power consumption hardware design. Capable of decoding full-HD (1080p) media files in MPEG-1, MPEG-2, H.264, and VC-1 (WMV9) formats, it also supports HDMI output. The power consumption of the XMP-300 is under 20 watts with the solid-state version XMP-305 running at 10 watts only.

The XMP-300 supports the W3C SMIL specification for playlist management features including screen splitting and day-parting. Traditional digital signage systems need the customer to manage the media player using proprietary scripts and software. With the new XMP-300, customers can easily build application software and ensure the investment will be reusable across all SMIL-based open platforms. SMIL has already been implemented by Adobe, Apple, Microsoft, and RealNetworks, making it a true open industry standard. SMIL is the main scripting language controlling the XMP-300 player, being based on the XML markup language and established by W3C as a multimedia standard.

XMP-300 is available now in sample quantity onhttp://www.IAdea.com/xmp/.
